How to find a legitimate home based business

How to find a legitimate home based business

First the good news!  There are many many legitimate home based business opportunities out there!  Of course there are the odd ones that claim to be a legitimate home based business but in reality are not.  But, before you write them off as a scam that may not always be the case.

A lot of us can get carried away with excitement once we have made the decision to look for a legitimate home based business and with that excitement we can often forget to really look at the opportunity closely and do the necessary research we should in order to establish whether this is the opportunity we are looking for.

For example, you may have decided that you want to work solely online, you think you have found a legitimate home based business that is internet based so you quickly read through all the long pages explaining how the business works and you skip to the ‘Join Here’ button at the bottom of the page without really thinking too much.  You join what you thought was a legitimate home based business only to find that actually you find the customers online but then you have to make deliveries to their houses – this isn’t what you signed up for – or was it?

If you think that you have found the right home based business for you then take the time to stop and think it through.  The business isn’t going anywhere!!  Find out all you can about the business, do some research on it on the internet, ask family and friends if they have heard of the company and make sure you read all the information that the company is providing you with – don’t skip over any pages! Remember, there are a lot of fantastic and legitimate home based business opportunities out there but it is up to you to do the research on them first.

I have been involved with the home based business arena for 3 years now and am very knowledgeable on many of the home based business opportunities out there. So if you would like any advice on a company you have come across, you can contact me my heading to my blog and finding my contact details.

Online Home Business

What should I look for in an online home business?

Well, the first thing you need to check when you are looking for an online home business is whether or not it is genuinely an online home business! Confused? Well, a lot of us would assume that because it is advertised as being online that it will in fact be all online, however this is not always the case.  Double check what is expected of you in order to run the business and read all the small print before joining up.

Once you have established that it is definitely an online home business, you also need to consider some other factors.  For example, will you need any special equipment to work the business?  If it is all online, do you need to have a superfast broadband connection or will a normal broadband connection suffice?  You may become very frustrated very quickly if it is taking you a long time to complete the online tasks necessary to run the business.

It is not only your broadband connection that you need to consider but also your actual PC.  Does your PC have the correct applications needed to run an online home business?  If not, is your computer capable of having these applications added to it (for example, does it have enough memory capability?)  If you find that you need to upgrade your current PC to a super doper turbo charged computer, you need to think about how much money you need to make in your online home business before you even break even!

Finally, you need to consider what type of skills you need to run an online home business.  The skills that you currently have may help you to determine which business is right for you.  For example if you are a novice on the internet and have now decided that you want to design websites, then there is a good chance that you will need to attend some training courses to gain these skills first!

Entrepreneur Opportunities

Spotting Entrepreneur Opportunities

How do you truly spot entrepreneur opportunities?  This is a bit of a condundrum in itself!  It could be argued that a true entrepreneur will always spot the opportunity before us poor mere mortals but it could also be argued that the true entrepreneur will not only spot the entrepreneur opportunities but they may also create them from scratch.

So, maybe there are two types are entrepreneurs?  Those that wait for the opportunities to be pitched to them (for example, think of those people who pitch their ideas on Dragons Den!) and then decide on which ideas would be classed as entrepreneurs opportunities and those that have their own ideas and simply set about creating the right conditions for their ideas to flourish in.

If you think you are an entrepreneur who can spot entrepreneur opportunities from a mile off then you need to make sure that you are putting yourself in the right environment for this to happen.  These opportunities are difficult to find if you simply sit at home waiting for it to happen!!  Similarly, if you consider yourself an entrepreneur who has a brilliant idea that will make you millions, you can’t simply sit at home bubbling with excitement about your idea!  You need to get out there and find a way to bring your idea, plan or invention to life!

Entrepreneur opportunities are out there in abundance but if you are out there looking for them then you need to be prepared to go through an awful lot of poor ideas, business plans and inventions before you may come across the right one for you to take forward.  Also, consider carefully what being an entrepreneur means.  The definition is somebody who initiates or finances new commercial enterprises or a risk taking business person.

Does this really describe you?

If so, head to my site and fill in your details in the contact box and you will receive regular information from me about ways to create an income online and how to exercise your entrepreneurial spirit!

Personal Developement Definition

Personal Developement Definition

One of my huge passions is Personal Development. But what is Personal Development?…

Personal Development is the conscious effort made for self improvement and personal growth in all areas of our lives.

From the minute we are born till the day we die we all face different challenges. As a baby we are totally dependent on our parents for everything and we rely on them to make good decisions for us. As we grow physically, mentally and emotionally we become unique individuals with the ability to make our own decisions and to make life significant for ourselves.

However, often the “norms” and routines in life subconsciously bind us to a certain way of living. We are taught to go to school, then college, then maybe onto university. Find a job, get married, have kids and those kids will then follow the same routine.  This leads to many people being too scared to step out of their comfort zone, break the norm and follow their dreams. Our personal development will make all the difference in our world regarding the quality of life we enjoy, the level of success we achieve, the love we experience, and the purpose and meaning we find.

Personal Development is concerned with digging deep into your soul to discover your purpose, goal-setting that will stretch you and take you out of your comfort zone to reach higher levels and accomplishing dreams you never believed possible. It is about positivity. It is about gratitude.  It is about liberation!

Personal Development has had an amazing transformational effect on not only me but millions of people around the world. It has subsequently become one of the largest industries worldwide, worth over $70 Billion in the USA alone.

Over the last 10 years or so I have read many Personal Development or self help books. I have also been on life-changing personal develpoment events and studied home courses.  I have taken so much from these and grown as a person both mentally, emotionally and skillfully, which has made me much more sucessful in my money-making abilities and in my personal relationships.

Check out my list of best self help books and other Personal Development material recommendations.

How to work at home uk based

How to work at home uk based

Work at home UK based businesses are out there for you to consider.  The first thing you need to establish is whether you want your business to be a work at home UK based company or whether you are happy to start a business opportunity that is in fact offered by an overseas company (for example a company based in America).

If you decide that it doesn’t really matter to you where the parent company is based then you may find that you end up running a business that enables you to work at home UK based but is administered by an American company.  If this is the case then there are some things that you will need to consider carefully.

The first obvious thing to point out is the time difference!! Dependant on what state in the US the parent company is based in, the time zone between there and you operating your work at home UK based business may be considerable.  This is fine if you don’t think that you will need a lot of support from the parent company or you don’t need to contact the parent company on a regular basis. However, if you do need support or need to be in regular contact with them then this will mean a lot of very late nights or early mornings for you!!

Other than the time zone difference, you may also need to consider other factors such as the shipment of products.  If you work at home UK based business is set up to provide the UK market with a product that can only be shipped from America then you will either need to hold a fair amount of stock yourself or be prepared to tell customers that there will be a 5 – 7 day wait for them to receive their products.

Many companies now look after the shipment of products for you; i.e. you make the sale, inform the company and they then ship the products from their warehouse to your customer, in which case this isnt and issue. And of course if you are selling a service or membership, this wont be an issue at all, as all details can be emailed.

I hope this article has been useful in helping you consider whether a UK based company is important to you. A lot of the time we forget to consider all the angles involved!
